Why pay for a name when you can get the same performance from a company offering lifetime warranty such as Jeld-wen. DR CONTRACTORS INC. also uses Pella when a customer is set on the name, but will only recommend this company in certain situations. These situations include matching other pre-existing Pella windows, stain color options, aluminum clad color options, of hardware style and color options. Both window manufacturers offer "Life Time" warranties on seal failure and hardware mechanical failures; please visit our suppliers’ sites to see the details. Many wood windows fail and rot due to home owner negligence. It is up to the home owner to keep the wood caulked and painted and when the caulk starts to fail the water will penetrate the window and speed up the rotting process. It is DR CONTRACTORS INC's opinion if a good quality paint and caulk is used it can usually be put out of mind for several years.
